Bill was a wonderful husband, and we shared 49 years of married life and 51 years of togetherness, punctuated by flying and travel adventures. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in August of 2009 and coped pretty well until last year. He gave up flying in 2013 but maintained a fairly active lifestyle. He stopped wanting to go to social events last summer and started rapidly deteriorating toward the end of last year. He started using a wheelchair last December and received lots of home health physical and occupational therapy. He also had a consistent caregiver, whom he grew to love, almost 24/7. We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary on April 11, 2022 with a huge celebratory steak dinner at Larsen's Steakhouse in Woodland Hills, California. He had a wonderful, active Sunday with his caregiver on April 25th, but as we were ready to watch the Dodger game on the evening of April 26th; even though he had been interacting with his caregiver five minutes before that, he did not respond when his caregiver told him the game was about to start. His caregiver could not find a pulse, so I called 911. His caregiver started CPR, the paramedics taking over when they arrived a few minutes later. They worked valiantly to revive Bill, but it was not to be. He had passed away so suddenly at 81 1/2 years old.
