On February 5th 2022, Dean Kistler lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was diagnosed in 2015, and it was a long battle ever since.

Dean is survived by his son, Charles William Kistler, his daughter, Karla Kistler-Patel, his son-in-law Darshan Patel, and three grandchildren Devin Patel, Kayla Patel, and Kaiden Patel. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Mary Kistler, his brother, Joseph Kistler, and his wife Sandy Kistler.

Dean was a mathematician and educator for over 40 years. His desire to teach and help others was legendary.
