My mother, Carol Ballard, witnessed and was in awe of my sister-in-law, Donna, and her positive attitude about tackling Parkinson's disease. She admired Donna's tenacity and dedication to her daily exercises including boxing, which has been found to help fight the progression of the disease. She also knew how valiantly Jim Dettre and Dave Anderson fought their respective battles. In honor of our mother, Tom and I would like to ask that in lieu of flowers any donations go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Thank you for supporting us in helping others in Mom's name.
