Born in Winnipeg on 1933 Anita was an enterprising lady during her teaching days in Canada, and London. As a Maryknoll sister she was devoted to her students in the Taiwan University and in the early seventies she went to Teachers College to qualify in adult education out of which grew her specialty in learner strategies. As if that was not enough of a challenge, she specializedin language and peace and became the founder of the Journal of Peace Education and was the main force with her sustainability sociologist husband of I hope that one of her colleagues will write a biography about her applied linguistics and peace work using the resources that are still availalble.
