Raised in Tribute:
$70.04Gregory B. Kuehl was born on June 25, 1953 in Oak Park Illinois to Tom and Betty Kuehl. He lost his battle with Parkinson’s Disease on Tuesday November 16, 2021 after suffering a sudden and unexpected cardiac event at the age of 68.
In 2015 Greg was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He quietly and stoically fought to maintain as “normal” of a daily life as possible despite his ever increasing tremors and rigidity. Greg continued to work literally until the day he died. He rarely complained about the challenges PD caused at work or day to day activities. He was determined to continue to be the provider and care taker for his family…not the one requiring care.
Greg had recently been determined a “good candidate” for DBS. He was looking forward to the chance to try this treatment and hopefully manage his tremors. Having just completed a wide range of screenings and been declared in excellent health is one of the things that has made Greg’s passing so shocking, even to his doctors.
Greg will be missed and remembered by his wife Kathy, daughters Michele and Karen, granddaughters Addie and Emmie, 3 brothers and their spouses, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. His family is grateful for the support of all those who’ve reached out during this time of shock and sorrow.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
