Raised in Tribute:
$75.00Joan battled Parkinson's for over thirty years, but she didn't let it keep her down. She watched "The Rifleman," collected dolls, attended flea markets, rode in a hot air balloon and did good deeds wherever she could. Honestly, she became a fan of Michael J. Fox, Janet Reno, Mohammed Ali and others when she found out they had Parkinson's, too. That's when she joined the research of this foundation because she desperately wanted a cure. Though no cure was available in her lifetime, Joan was a friend to many right to the end. She will be forever loved and missed, though admired for her strength, as we remember her climbing on stage with her walker to belt out Patsy Cline's "Crazy" and so many other favorite tunes. "Remember, you're worth it," she would say with a smile. Joan was definitely worth it, and the world lost an angel when it lost her. ♥️
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
