My daughter, Rhonda, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in her mid thirties. Since that time she has had multiple surgeries on her brain and, more recently she has had double knee replacements. Through all of this, she has run more than 100 marathons and several other races. She will be running in Boston this month. In fact, she was at the race during the bombing several years ago, but was not injured. Through all this, she has raised three boys and is now enjoying grandchildren. She has been through so much, but has always maintained a great attitude and never lets limitations get her down. She is truly an inspiration to me, and my hero.
