Carol P. Case died this week (aug 26) after a very long and brave battle with Parkinson's. She was my dad's sister, and even though we lived a few states away, I felt very close to her. She was a teacher - the kind of teacher that transforms the lives of her students and inspires a love of reading and theater (especially Shakespeare!) for the rest of their lives.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $800 million in high-impact research funded to date.
