Dee was diagnosed with Parkinson’s about 7 years ago. We were all very surprised as she didn’t show symptoms. Of course that made us curious so we started researching and are uncertain it’s cause. Maybe it was the drugs from chemo and radiation to fight her breast cancer, maybe it was something to do with her diet or lack of exercise, maybe it had something to do with how she took care of others worrying about them more than herself or maybe it was a bad fall when she cracked open her head…. We will never know. … what we do know is is she fought it with courage and positivity. The disease dramatically affected her body, her ability to walk was gone, her ability to use her hands was gone and her ability to talk was minimal. It even took her ability to swallow so she could only eat nectar thickened foods and drinks. fully incontinent, , a forever tilted to the left head and hunched over posture.. That said what wasn’t affected was her spirit and her mind. She knew us, she knew where she was and she knew she wanted to do anything to find a cure!!!! Please help us find a cure in honor of Dee aka The Warrior Grammy
