Raised in Tribute:
$100.00On Monday, we said goodbye to our father, Bill Stahmer. At 85 years of age and having lived with Parkinson's disease for many years, he was a fighter until the end. He went peacefully on eclipse day, a day when most Americans looked to the sky and set their differences aside. Although a man of few words, he always had a joke at the ready and a smile to accompany it.
Born in southeastern PA, he worked for many years as a plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractor before retiring from the Marple Newtown School District. He was an avid skier in his younger years, but he enjoyed his retirement years in the sun in southern Florida. He often joked about the snow he was missing out on up north.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Malinda Lefave, Gretchen Stahmer, and Stephanie Stahmer, as well as his sister, Margaret Foster.
