Raised in Tribute:
$175.00Joslyn King was called home to heaven on August 9, 2017. She was born Joslyn Baker on October 3, 1935 in Hess, OK. Her fondest childhood memories were the years she spent as a young girl in Duncan, OK. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1953, and moved to Ft. Collins, CO shortly thereafter to live with her sister Helen. She met Loren King at church, and they were married on June 20, 1954.
Jo loved to sing and had a beautiful soprano voice. She enjoyed all kinds of music & was a avid reader. She was very artistic from a young age. She loved to crochet, stitch work, quilt, make ceramics, paint; you name it and she would try it. She could coordinate colors in an unbelievable way.
Jo loved to talk to people. She could strike up a conversation with most anyone. Her smile and laugh were infectious.
Over 15 years, Parkinson's Disease slowly took away her ability to do many of the things she loved. However, in her steadfast spirit, she refused to give anything up easily, and sought to pursue any activity still possible.
In honor of her memory, your donation to this foundation to find a cure and advance treatment options will be very much appreciated.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
