Raised in Tribute:
$345.00Thank you for visiting this space dedicated to celebrating, remembering, and honoring our loving father, Dennis D. Russell. This page also is a place to support The Michael J. Fox Foundation's mission to end Parkinson's. Every person and family touched by this disease knows the same urgency for a cure. Please consider joining my sister and I in the cause in tribute to our father and in honor of the five million living with Parkinson's disease.
Regretfully, and with heavy hearts, my sister and I would like to inform everyone that our father, Dennis Russell passed away peacefully Saturday, July, 29th 2017. Our father was a fighter until the end, but went peacefully into the night after living with Parkinson's disease for 13 years. Its hard to know where to start. There are so many beautiful memories of family dinners, bedtimes, and countless boating trips. So many wonderful stories and so so much laughter. He had a way of living life with the joy of a child, always being playful, and always up to something. He had a huge heart and while a man of few words, you could always hear him laughing his infectious laugh. We will miss his laugh the most. Friendships were important to our Dad. He took an interest in good people and loved mine and my sister’s friends too. He loved entertaining friends at his home in Destin. He loved Destin. The water is always where he felt most at home.
Our dad was always up for a good time and quick to play bartender at any party -- making sure everyone's drink was filled to the brim. This speaks to how he lived his life, making sure everyone he loved was taken care of and having a good time.
We celebrate his love, his friendship, and his laughter. We love you, daddy. You can rest now.
