James (Jim) Grady 88, of Phoenix, passed away on July 23, 2017. Jim was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Joseph and Emma Grady. Jim proudly served as an officer in the US Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his loving wife Jean of 61 years; sons Michael and Steve; daughters Jenny, Mary and Karen; sister Betty; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Jim was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease nearly 30 years ago. He was a strong advocate for Parkinson's research, participating in clinical trials for Rytary extended-release Parkinson's medication.
Despite being diagnosed with this debilitating disease, Jim continued his love of snow skiing, becoming an accomplished ski instructor for over 25 years at Snowbowl in Flagstaff, Arizona, and Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado. Jim earned a ski instructor emeritus award.
It is our hope that in time, significant discoveries and advancements will be made in the treatment of and eventual cure for Parkinson's. We are so grateful that you feel moved to donate in tribute to Jim. On behalf of the entire Grady Family, we thank you so much for your donation.
