Robert Allan Sprosty, 12/27/1942 - 7/2/2017

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Sprosty announces his passing on Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the age of 74.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barbara Ann (nee) Pavluk, son Robby, daughter-in-law Ashley, grandson Lucas Allan, and two sisters, Terri Chelton (husband Bruce Chelton) and Peggy Fischer (husband Bill Fischer).

Bob will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Bob was a dedicated, loving family man, who displayed extraordinary kindness, patience and a willingness to listen. A creative and resourceful man with a wonderful sense of humor, Bob endeared himself to all who met him and put smiles on so many faces.

Bob was born on December 27, 1942, in Cleveland, OH to Clarence and Margaret Sprosty. Upon graduating from the University of Dayton with a business degree, he enrolled in the Navy. As a helicopter pilot he flew rescue missions during the Vietnam war, and because of his valor, was awarded the distinguished flying cross medal. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Bob returned to Ohio, and some months later, met his future wife, Barbara. After 4 months of marriage, they moved to Texas and felt very much at home here residing in Arlington and then Mansfield. Theirs was a true love story being completely devoted to each other for 42 years of marriage. Bob's pride and joy was their son, Robby. He so enjoyed watching and being involved in every aspect of his son's life. More than anything he especially loved playing golf with him and treasured those moments.

Bob was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. His kindness, great sense of humor and loving ways will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Bob's life will be held by the family at a later date.
