My dad Ron Guild is a true inspiration to all about caring, strength , love, support and selfleness. My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease years ago it started in his one arm then traveled to the other now it affects his legs but that never stops him. Him and my mom have 3 birth children and 5 adopted my mom passed away July 18th 2005 my dad was her hospice for the 2 yrs she had left to live with her colon cancer. I watched him in amazement take care of her and no matter how tired he got he kept with it. After my mom passed I got sick and stopped breathing and got a tracheostomy my dad traveled back and forth visiting me everyday while I was in a rehab hospital and then cared for me by himself day and night for a whole year until we found a nurse to help at home during the day and he took over at night til about almost two yrs ago he couldn't do it anymore so I went into a care facility but he calls me or I call him everyday we talk several times and he comes to see me as often as he can but inspite of it all he has never gave up He even a was in the Vietnam war got wounded and hurt really bad and with me being born with a rare bone disease he has always been here for me even when he can't come he is always right there for me when I call him on the phone and is always there for my youngest sister who is now 17 yrs old to my oldest brother who has his own family he forgets his struggles and helps each of the 8 of us his kids and 3 grand daughters and 3 grandsons. He always puts himself aside to help those around him and to pray for others he has a tremendous amount of faith and it always encourages and strengthens me everyday I want to be more like him.
