My grandfather lived a very full life. He was a doctor, a travler, story teller, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all he met. He passionately went after life in all he did. Watching him suffer and eventually pass to the ailments caused by Parkinsons was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. In his memory, I began getting fit and since his death 5 years ago I have competed in over 30 runs and obstacle course events. The first race I ever did was set up in his memory and every event I have done since has been with him in mind. However, I want to do more. I have mission to be a Team Fox athlete. Every event I do now creates awareness and helps support all those battling with this disease and their families. My hope is that this will continue to honor my grandfathers legacy.
