Jimmie was my husband and my hero for 27 years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's 7 years after we were married. He fought his battle with this horrific disease with the same tenacity and courage as he handled other challenges in his life, including his service to his country during his stint in Vietnam. Jimmie lost his final battle on November 18 of this year. Although my faith assures me he is in "a better place" without pain and frustration, I am missing him terribly at this point and time.
Therefore, I will return at a later date to share with readers "the rest of the story". It is also past the bedtime for this 80 year old. Until then . . .
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
