Last night, we said goodbye to our loving husband and dad, Robert (Bob) Maxfield Paddock. Just shy of his 75th birthday, he was a fighter till the end, but went peacefully into the night after living with Parkinson's disease for 15 years. As his high school class valedictorian, he was smart, witty and full of dry humor. He had a huge heart and while a man of few words, he made those "words of wisdom" count.
We've spent the last few days by his side reminiscing with friends and family about "Uncle Bob" as he was warmly known to so many. He was always up for a good time and quick to play bartender at any party -- making sure everyone's drink was filled to the brim. That speaks volumes about how he lived his life, making sure those around him were taken care of.
We celebrate his love, his loyalty and his laughter. We love you, daddy. You can rest now.
Robert M. Paddock
