I met Antoinette "Toni" Asterino when I first purchased our villa in the retirement community of Sugar Sands. she was 80 years and still full of so life. My husband an I were new to the community and she made us feel welcome. Even with all her problems with her Parkinson's we still manage to have fun. Because we were both Italian we had so much in common. We talk about our heritage and our culture and most of all our love of family and Italian food. Toni had a wicked sense of humus and always mange to make us laugh. Toni past away on October 25, 2016 and it was one of the saddest day I've ever had. She will be missed by the whole community and by her wonderful husband. She will not be forgotten. They are going to plant a tree in our Butterfly Garden in memory of her. It will give us a place to sit and reminisce about this wonderful wife, mother and most of the best friend I have ever had. R .I.P my friend.
