Joseph Alfano was a loving husband, father and grandfather. When not working as a computer service engineer for IBM he enjoyed spending time with his wife Lois, his extended family and his friends. In particular, he enjoyed the friendships he and his wife made at their house in Pennsylvania. In the summer he enjoyed playing tennis and softball during the day and then attending the various social events at night. I have fond memories of watching him play left field at the Sunday games and as I got older the chance to play alongside him. He also enjoyed mountain biking and with his buddies would ride for miles on back road trails near Elk Mountain.
In the winter he was an avid skier
