Raised in Tribute:
$100.00Our father, Stephen Nicholson, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease 15 years ago. This was a particularity heart wrenching diagnosis as we had watched this terrible disease ravage his mother, our grandmother. His disease progressed and his physical abilities declined. He was willing to try anything to stave off the effects of this disease and he found physical therapy, speech therapy and chair yoga to be somewhat helpful. He recently passed away very suddenly. He was a graduate of Indiana University with both bachelor's and master's degrees. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid reader, enjoyed travelling and was a devoted Chicago sports fan. He was a faithful Blackhawks fan and Cubs fan. He attended the World Series in person at Wrigley Field the last time the Cubs played in the World Series in 1945. In 2016 he will be cheering for the Cubs from above!!!
He frequently researched and discussed advancements in Parkinson's Disease research.
We are honored to share our father's story.
