Orval (Rocky) Patterson was diagnosed with Parkinson's in March 2006. He has faced many battles in his life but this one far exceeded anything he had ever faced. He has 3 DBS implants in his brain. The 3rd was placed in his thalmus and was the one that helped the most. But due to his skin deteriorating at the site, he has had approx. 20 surgeries at that site alone. Leading to May 2016 having it completely removed. He has so many scars on his scalp it looks like a road map. After each surgery he says he'll never let them cut on him again, then it happens again. He is facing another surgery soon to either replace the DBS if possible or to do the Thalemectomy. He is the stringest man I know and I love him dearly.
