Parkinson's Disease has had a positive impact on my life. Parkinson's does not define who I am. I believe that having Parkinson's has given me the opportunity to be a light to others and to give people hope. I have had the privilege to speak with many people with PD around the country about my journey.

I was fortunate to be selected for a gene therapy clinical trial in 2015. I had brain surgery in October and I am doing well. I have talked to others that have gone through this trial and I have been able to share my experience in order to help put them at ease. I am looking forward to seeing more benefit in the future.

Parkinson's Disease has changed my life and made me value each and every day that I get to spend with my family. I live by four words that start with the letter "F"; Faith, Family, Friends & Fitness. These four words keep me going every day and are vital to living. Faith to me means that I put God first in my life and Jesus Christ is the Lord of my life. My Family is my number one support group on this journey. My Friends are amazing and they are my biggest prayer warriors. Fitness is all about exercise, exercise, exercise. You must keep your muscles moving.
