$150.00Our Father was given a name meaning wise protector or wise guard. As the first born son of nine children in the rural province of Camaguey, Cuba, he was not only marked with his father's name but embodied its meaning. He was always the wise brother, the protector, the champion of his family, invariably epitomizing his name with his actions. These qualities extended out to his professional life as a physician where he healed, tended, and treated anyone who needed help. Fueled by his passion for his profession, he never wanted to retire. He was well past the retirement age when he was forced to retire due to his diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease at the age of 87. He died on February 20, 2018 at 95.
It is with much appreciation from our family, that a donation is made to support the Michael J Fox Foundation to find a cure. Our family, along with yours, would like to do everything we can to help every person and family touched by this disease. We take heart in the tremendous progress that has unfolded since the Foundation opened its doors and want all those living with Parkinson's to look to the future with hope.
