My mom battled Parkinson’s with courage and strength, but it affected her and us in so many ways. It took her independence. It took years off her life. It took her happiness at times. It took our happiness because we had to watch her decline and battle everyday. Thankfully she was able to stay home with family until the end of her life. My heart goes out to all the families that are affected by Parkinson’s. It affects people in ways most of us don’t even understand.
