$331.00Robert "Bob" Faulkner, 69, of Humboldt, TN passed away on April 19, 2021. He received a heart transplant in 2007, then unfortunately developed Parkinson's disease which he valiantly battled for 13 years.
Bob was a Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian Music radio personality for over 35 years in the Nashville, Memphis, and Jackson, TN markets as well as Orlando, FL and Topeka, KS. As a nominee for the Gospel Music Award's "DJ of the year," he was fondly referred to as "Mr. Golden Throat."
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Linda Legette Faulkner with their orange tabby cat, Garfield; his son, Chris Faulkner; and two daughters, Jennifer and Anita Faulkner. In addition, he left two grandsons, Lance and Shawn, as well as three god grandchildren, Lauren, Sarah, and Lucas, and one god great-grandson, Ryland.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Katie Myers Faulkner and William Faulkner; one sister, Frances Faulkner McCubbin, and one god-daughter Valentina Marie Richards.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13th, 2021 at 4pm at Christ Ministries Church, 286 Highway 45 West, Trenton Highway, Humboldt, TN (three miles north of Humboldt). Brother Gary Morris, long time pastor and good friend, will be officiating. All are invited to attend this celebration of Bob's life with friends and family.
