Raised in Tribute:
$1614.50Dear Family and Friends:
For my mitzvah project, I am choosing to honor my grandfathers, Dr. Stephen Dretler and Dr. Len Shulman, who are both living with Parkinson's disease. I will be raising money to donate to the Michael J. Fox Foundation which is an organization that is trying to advance the knowledge about this disease and work to find a cure.
I am honoring my grandfathers because they go through struggles every day due to Parkinson's disease. Despite that, they always support me in everything I do. They come to watch my lacrosse games, and gymnastics and wrestling meets. They are both such great role models who show compassion and dedication to their family. They are both kind, caring, and show a lot of empathy and constantly make me feel good about myself. And they supported me in my Jewish studies and goal of becoming a Bar Mitzvah.
I know I can't change the fact that they have this disease, but I can raise some money to go towards a cure. My goal is to raise $1000 this spring. Thank you very much for your consideration.
-Ryan Dretler
