My 93 year old mother bravely battled Parkinson's since her diagnosis soon after my father died when she was 87. Like many, she went undiagnosed for years while caring for my father (her husband of 62 years). Once diagnosed, she played bridge, walked her 65 lb. golden-doodle a mile a day, and took up boxing--in addition to continuing her extensive genealogy research. This past year of Covid and the lack of social interaction, plus the disease took its toll. Today my mother is fighting her last battle from a bed in a hospice house. God-speed.
