Schroder, Frances B
Sunnyvale, CA 91 died April 3, 2021. Frances was born on August 9th, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska. Frances was a resident of San Jose for 56 years, Placerville for 10 years, and Folsom for 25 years. Frances is survived by her daughter, Sherian Schroder Lee, her granddaughters Caitlyn Frances Lee, and Darian Eileen Lee, and her son Gerrit Sherman Schroder. In 1951 Frances graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in business administration. She owned and operated San Jose Plating Works in San Jose for 30 years and then worked at National Semiconductors in shipping and receiving. She was the president of the West Valley Woman’s club where she did fundraising and volunteer work for the San Jose Community. She did fashion modeling for charity groups and she was a nationally ranked bridge player who taught and mentored other players. She was a great cook who hosted many dinner parties and memorable family celebrations. Frances was best known for her chocolate chip cookies and making several homemade pies and cakes for her friends and family. She won many awards for her needlepoint creations at the Sacramento Fair and created lovely heirlooms for her children, nieces, and grandchildren. Frances loved to travel, learn different languages, and cook different cultural foods. Frances is best remembered as a beautiful woman, a good cook, the perfect hostess, a professional bridge player, and a woman who seemed to do it all perfectly while investing in long-lasting friendships.
