$4001.50Wayne H. Arden was a talented marketing executive and a dedicated community volunteer in Arlington Heights, IL. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2001 and passed away on February 21st, 2016 at age 76.
Wayne was born on January 15, 1940 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada to Cecil and Eyleene Arden. He became an American citizen and served in the Air Force. He worked at Nielsen Marketing Research for over 20 years, holding various leadership positions. Wayne worked at Sales Force Organizations and finished his career at Pankow Associates, focusing on his expertise in marketing research.
His volunteer activities in Arlington Heights, IL included working for Frontier Days for over 30 years on various committees including running the entire organization as President. Wayne volunteered for the Arlington Heights Special Events Commission for 19 years and helped to create many popular, long standing community events such as the Mane Event, Autumn Harvest Festival and the Tree Lighting celebration. His outstanding contributions were recognized in 2015 when Wayne received the prestigious Hearts of Gold award from Arlington Heights.
Wayne was a passionate leader in family organizations such as Indian Princesses and Trailmates, which included a role as Federation Chief. He was an avid theatre goer, runner and a talented artist.
Despite all of Parkinson's challenges, Wayne never complained about the disease. He continues to inspire us all with his remarkable positive attitude!
Wayne is survived by his wife Margaret, their daughters Tracy Arden and Allison Gosser, his son-in-law Michael Gosser, his grandson Robert Gosser, and his brother Gary Arden.
