Our mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1995, a few months after our father died suddenly from a heart attack. We watched her fight PD valiantly for 21 years - facing impossible odds and countless setbacks - never once with a complaint or negative view of her situation. She married Tom Hervey in 1999 and had 17 years of his loving support, enabling her to combat Parkinson's while still having a fun and fulfilling life.

Mom adored Michael J. Fox, his foundation and all of the work they have done to bring Parkinson's to the foreground. She would be thankful and proud to have donations made here, in her honor, with the hope that someday a cure is found for this debilitating disease. Together with Tom's family, we are proud to set this webpage up in Luanne Walker Saam Hervey's honor.
