Raised in Tribute:
$175.00Dennis Shimon, age 80, was a farmer, father, and grandfather. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1997. He was a skilled mechanic & metal worker who had a passion for working with his hands. Parkinson's was especially difficult for him because he was always working on projects for his farm and his community. His condition not only affected his children, but also his grandchildren who did not get the chance to know the man Dennis was before Parkinson's.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Michael J Fox Foundation.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today. The Foundation is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson's research, with more than $2 billion in high-impact research funded to date.
