This tribute is in memory of my amazing Dad! He was the best Dad I could have ever asked for and we all miss him so much. He was truly an amazing person who would light up a room wherever he went. He loved life and his family and would do anything for us. Including getting up at 6am when I was a teenager on an emergency run for hairspray! That's an amazing Dad :) He was a contractor and builder and was the very best at what he did, he was such a talented man. He had a passion for car racing and spent hours helping my brother Rob on his race car. He was not only a great Dad, he was a great husband to my Mom, Sandy, who he also nicknamed Sam :). They went everywhere together and he helped her with whatever he was able to do, even vacuuming when he hardly had the strength. He loved his grandkids with all of his heart and would light up every time they came into the room. This tribute is from them too, Dakota, Peyton, Robbie, Adam, and Samantha. And many thanks to my sister in law, Rebecca, for your nursing skills and many hours spent with my Dad. He lost his battle with Parkinson's on June 8, 2015. I never realized how Parkinson's can break down a person, until I lived through it with my Dad. I'd like to raise awareness about Parkinson's disease and someday to find a cure. I'd also like to be a support system for other families with a loved one who has Parkinson's Disease. We all love you Dad and miss you! We're keeping all of our great memories together alive and well! Love, your daughter Laurie :)
