Raised in Tribute:
$225.00A much loved husband, father, and grandfather, Andre LeBlanc, passed Aug. 16, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Andre was born July 11, 1931, in Burlington, to the late Oscar and Alice Granger LeBlanc. On May 18, 1954, during his sophomore year at the University of Vermont, he married Lucille LaFrance. Following his graduation, Andre returned to UVM to earn his master's degree in Electrical Engineering. He then went to work at IBM in Essex, VT. While employed by IBM, Andre earned a PhD in Physics from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Before retiring in 1995 after nearly 38 years at IBM, Andre had achieved Senior Engineer, published several scientific papers, and taught courses at IBM, Norwich University, and Milton High School. Andre also served his country in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. As an outdoorsman and athlete, he enjoyed golf, waterskiing, fishing, gardening, and long walks. Most of all, Andre treasured time with his family - whether it be coaching Essex Youth Hockey or just spending time with them at "the camp" on Lake Champlain. Andre was survived by his wife Lucille LeBlanc, their 7 children, 10 grandchildren, and great-grandson.
