$6057.00Born on August 20, 1939, in Newton, NJ, Pat treasured her lifelong memories of time spent with a close circle of family and friends. Mom was blessed throughout her life with deep and enduring friendships and family ties and maintained those relationships with a fierce dedication to a host of beloved traditions. Among her favorites were the weekly outings with her granddaughters, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with her brother and extended family, summer family vacations spent in Ocean City, MD, trips to Virginia to visit a dear friend, watching nightly baseball games with her friend and neighbor, and lunch with the ladies after church.
Throughout her life, Mom remained close with the cousins with whom her fondest childhood memories were made. She loved sharing inside jokes with her best friend met in elementary school, but this didn’t stop them from welcoming many new friends along the way. Pat graduated from Newton High School in 1957 and went on to study at East Orange General Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1960 with a degree as a registered nurse. Mom furthered her education by attending Morris County College part-time earning a Master's Degree in Humanities while working and raising her family. She devoted more than 40 years as a caregiver, first as a pediatric nurse and retiring as a school nurse in 2003.
Her final residence was at Arbor Terrace in Middletown, NJ, where she moved to be close to family while still maintaining her close ties to her extended network of loved ones. Despite the effects of decades battling debilitating health conditions, at Arbor Terrace she was affectionately known as the resident who was always walking the halls to get her exercise. Patricia passed away peacefully on February 25, 2021. We love you, Mom. xoxo
