Coach Wilson ~as everyone called him in Greenview.
What an AMAZING Dad. One of a kind.
He has impacted more student-athletes than I could ever count. Everyone that came into contact with my Dad came away feeling appreciated & motivated. That's how he was. One of a kind.
Our small town of Greenview, Illinois has a population of around 850. My Dad taught & coached at Greenview Schools for over 33 years. The only school he ever worked at. To me that is something.
Our school track is named "Wilson Field" in his honor. So many track meets & so many lives touched.
He was also the Mayor of our small town for 16 years. He took great pride in doing so many things for our community.
Showing & raising Quarter Horses was my Dad's hobby & LOVE. You could always find him in the
barn riding horses or traveling around Central Illinois competing in horse shows. I traveled with Dad in my grade school & high school years showing pleasure horses. A treasure I will keep with me always.
Parkinson's came into our lives over 10 plus years ago. It is something I never want another family to ever go through. The progression for Dad seemed to go fast. Falls upon falls. Dad had a determination to walk & move around no matter what. That was Dad. One of a kind.
xoxo Christy
