Obituary for Walter J Bomhoff
Walter J. Bomhoff, 83, of Fairfield, NJ, passed away on December 12, 2020. Beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” Bomhoff (nee Ferrary). Loving father of Wally Bomhoff and his wife Denni, Dr. John Bomhoff, and Michael Bomhoff and his wife AnneMarie. Adored grandfather of Brandon, Logan, Melina, and Danica. Dear brother of Philip Bomhoff and his wife Kathy, and the late Dorothy Simenitzky. He is also predeceased by his parents Walter and Mary Bomhoff and survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Walter was born in Brooklyn and raised in Paterson before moving to Fairfield 52 years ago, where he spent the rest of his life. During those 52 years he was an active member of St. Thomas More Church where he was an usher at the 5PM mass for many years. He was a member of the Plumbers Local 24 and the VFW Post 7925. He served our country in the Army from 1956-1958. Due to the ongoing pandemic funeral services for Walter will be private. A Memorial Mass will be offered at a future date when it is safe for family and friends to gather. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ippolito Stellato Funeral Home, Fairfield, NJ.
