$537.75It is with great sadness that the family of Sam Truncone announces the passing of this incredible husband and father. In 2006, Sam retired after Forty- Six years as an Analytical Research Engineer for the Raybestos PowerTrain Corporation. Sam never missed a day of working in forty-six years due to sickness. However, a few days after he had retired, he was not feeling well. Sam went to a doctor and after several tests, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Sammy fought his battle with Parkinson's and after fourteen years, on January 5, 2021. He passed away in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Sammy was born on November 17, 1940. In Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was married on May 30, 1963, to Rose M. Truncone. They raised three sons Nick (Wife Maureen), an MAI who lives in Tallahassee, Florida. Dan, (Wife Erin) a Product Research engineer with Raybestos Powertrain Corp. Dave,(wife Heidi) a minister with the Assemblies of God. He Pastors the First A/G in Van Buren, Mo.
In 1984 Sam was transferred to Crawfordville, Indiana. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was also an accomplished guitarist. He spent 25 years of his life traveling on the weekends, playing music. He also recorded a few records. Sam and Rose have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He enjoyed singing and playing music with his sons and grandchildren. He had an incredible sense of humor and a love for Italian food, Seafood, blueberry pie, and old comedies.
Sam's family has decided to honor their father and his courageous battle with Parkinson's by using his life, story, and passing to further the cause of Parkinson's Disease research.
