Raised in Tribute:
$980.45 Kenneth Everett Merchant was a beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend to those around him. Always of a peaceful and humorous nature, Ken was a gentle soul who brought joy and laughter to his family. He was the embodiment of fatherly love!
Ken developed Parkinson's and struggled to walk, then struggled to talk, and eventually needed help with everything. Through all of the changes, Ken never lost his spirit. His smile was as infectious as ever. his laughter still hearty. His love, unmatched. As his daughters, we felt blessed to have the opportunity to take care of him, keep him company, and make his ever changing way of living as comfortable and loving as possible. We cherished the moments of simply spending time together.
While Ken left his earthly body on February 15, 2017, his memory stays with all of us. We are choosing this year of the unexpected and unknown, to remember and honor Ken and celebrate holiday giving by donating to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in his name. As Ken would say at this special time of year, "I just can't wait" and now we just can't wait to help the Michael J Fox foundation help those who struggle with Parkinson's . We appreciate your support and look forward to hearing your dear memories of Ken.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
