It is with heavy hearts that Charlie’s family announces his passing which was on November 20, 2020 at the age of 75 years old. He lived a long life in service – first to our country, in the US Navy where he served during the Vietnam era. After getting out of the Navy, he served the Seventh Day Adventist church in various leadership capacities for nearly 25 years. His career then turned to serving people with his financial and insurance expertise and he built a successful business where he gained many clients and friends.
He enjoyed traveling, and went on several trips to foreign countries throughout the years. He was an active mason and Shriner, in which he participated in parades and fundraising events, and enjoyed going to his local meetings in Grand Junction, CO. His favorite pastimes were being with his grandkids (both in person and virtual), fishing, photography, going to baseball games, and visiting with his large extended family.
Charlie was always positive throughout his struggle with Parkinson’s. He was constantly seeking more information about the disease and was willing to share that information with those who needed it.
His generosity, kind heart and easy smile will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
