Raised in Tribute:
$4469.22James D. Muro, my father and hero, passed away on July 24, 2015 at 79 years old. He battled every stage of Parkinson’s disease for over fifteen years, ever with dignity, and always with care for us.
Dad and I were each other's world, smile, and inspiration. Anyone who was fortunate enough to be a part of his life would agree—he had a heart of gold. Tragically, I am due for my first child at any moment, which makes the loss of him feel more devastating than just a broken heart. This pregnancy brought him many smiles during his final days.
Although he left this world peacefully, the years have been difficult for him, and for our family. My mother, Iris, lovingly devoted herself to making his life as wonderful as possible. Our wish is that you honor his one-of-a-kind soul by helping contribute to other families with Parkinson's disease. This was his wish, as he told my mom long ago; he was always a selfless man.
Thank you all for joining the fight against Parkinson's, and thus honoring my dad's life and strength.
I love you more than life Dad, and your grandchild will live in the love of your memory. You are the greatest loss of my life, which is only fitting for the golden soul that you were.
