$25.00Marguerite Naomi (Delo) Hansen of Warwick, NY passed away on October 26th, 2020. She was 90 years old.
Born in Huntington, NY and raised in Northport, NY, she was one of two daughters born to the
late James and Marguerite (Murray) Delo.
Naomi, as friends and family called her, was a proud confidential secretary for the United States Postal Service in Melville, NY as well as an incredible mother, grandmother, and matriarch to her beloved family. She was also an artist, ballroom dancer, fancy dresser, and always the first to start a conversation.
Naomi made herself the head of the welcoming committee wherever she went. The queen of “small talk” as she phrased it herself made a point to remember something about each new person she met. Her friendliness and warm spirit left an impression on everyone she knew.
Naomi is survived by her children: Glenn Hansen and his wife, Patricia of Fairfield, CT, Scott
Hansen and his wife, Marianne of Warwick, NY, Dawn Hansen and her husband Frank Lenihan
of Seal Beach, CA, and Gail Fennell and her husband, Kevin of Ridgefield, CT; grandchildren: John Peter, Meredith, James, Thomas John, and Samantha Hansen, and Abigail Fennell; sister, Joann Veit of Melville, NY. She was predeceased by her son, Todd Hansen and her ex-husband, John Hansen.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 1:00 to 5:00 with a funeral service at 5:00 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Interment will be private in Tappan Reformed Church Cemetery.
