Farahjan passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinson disease. She was an outstanding and remarkably unique person who valued family, love, friendship, literature, art and education over everything else. She will be remembered for her devotion to her sons, grandchildren and extended family, and also for her exquisite taste, love for Persian poetry and handicrafts, and Master Chef capabilities.

The last two years of her life, Farahjan struggled with both the motor and mental effects of this devastating disease. Every effort to advance knowledge and research in Parkinson's disease is a respite of hope for those who are still alive waiting for a solution to their incapacitating condition.

In lieu of flowers, The Mafi-Cain-Hassankhani-Bencardino families will be very grateful for your donation in Farah's memory.
