As Pastor of First Baptist Church in Russell, KS, and Faith Evangelical Free Church n Roswell, NM, Ted served the congregations with compassion and zeal, faithfully teaching the truths of Scripture. He returned to work on the Bronleewe family farm several times throughout his career and always enjoyed coming home to work with his brother and father.
After moving to Austin, Ted worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance, while taking evening classes to obtain certification in AutoCAD. He was then employed as a control systems designer at Process Networks Plus until he retired. Ted learned that he had Parkinson's Disease (PD) in 2013. He took-on the diagnosis with strength, determination and faith in God, like he did with all challenges during his life. Ted never used PD as an excuse to complain or feel sorry for himself. With Barbara's support, Ted continued his active lifestyle, seeking therapies that would sustain his balance, mobility, voice and quality of life. Ted found a great community of support and friendship at 413 Fitness, an exercise program for people with PD and other movement disorders.
Ted passed away from complications of COVID-19 in August 2020. Ted will be missed on earth by his family, friends and everyone who gleaned a small portion of his wisdom and knowledge through his Bible teaching . We all look forward to celebrating with him again in Heaven.
