Sidney Berger, age 93, of Fort Lee, passed away on June 15, 2020.
Sidney was a wonderful father, husband and son. A native of Queens, New York, he went to City College. He was a talented jeweler, and later went on to a career in sales, at which he excelled with his communication skills and won many awards. He was known to his friends and family as a handy guy who could fix anything. He had a great sense of humor, and loved sailing and making stained glass creations.
Sidney served in the Coast Guard during WWII, and he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons.
He and his wife of 42 years, Cara enjoyed their second home in Florida. He will be missed by his wife, Cara, children Karen and Lydia, Julian and Marc, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Mia, grandchildren Jessica, Melissa, Danielle, Paul and Sara, great-grandchildren Elias and Gwendolyn.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sidney’s memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at or the Parkinson Foundation.
