All my Dad's life he was a superhero. He did everything. Nothing ever stopped him. He was a star quarterback all through his High School years, just the best. He then became one of the bravest, toughest Police Officers anyone came across. But more importantly, he became a Husband and a Father. I can't explain how well he mastered that job. He couldnt have done a better job, and he's not done yet! Like he tells all us kids, he won't stop parenting us until he's "6 feet under the ground", and he means that with all his heart. Funny part is, none of us kids mind that because he teaches us things nobody else could. What I want him to know is that after his diagnosis, he is still all of those things to us. That will never change. Of course when I found out I had my own selfish concerns like will he be able to walk me down the aisle? Or be able to hold my children? None of that matters as long as he's by my side in some way. Watching him through his journey is greater than watching him do anything else. He has taken this on with more dedication and tenacity than any football game, arrest, or any other trial. I know deep down that this will never change. I am so proud to be your daughter, Dad. I love you so much.
