Raised in Tribute:
$550.00Dr. Walt Osborne is indeed a man with Parkinson's but not defined by that stigma. He is best defined by being known as my Dad. Walt is an incredible, brave Husband, Father and Grandfather that fights daily the trapping side-effects of being a Parkinson's patient with the support and encouragement of my mother. The support and encouragement that she provides coupled with the unwavering cheerleading of my nephews, his grandsons, makes my father unsinkable!
Walt is an extremely talented physician himself that still provides amazing healthcare for his patients in spite of a Parkinson's diagnosis. I do not know many people that would brave staying in such a stressful job as an ER Physician. For over 40 plus years this man has provided impeccable aid medically, spiritually and mentally to each new patient he encounters. Just as with Parkinson's my dad approaches all challenges in life either as a physician or personally with the Faith and Dependence on his savior and master Jesus Christ. I know that this is a difficult disease for even the most positive person, but my dad knows that with scriptures such as Matthew 19:26 "With men some things are possible, but with God all things are possible."
So it is with great honor and pleasure that I pay tribute to my Dad for being a warrior in Christ while facing the challenges of being a Parkinson's patient! Know that as you approach my father on the street or see him in pictures, you will definitely be able to see the toll this horrible disease has taken on my father outwardly, it is inwardly you cannot see with the naked eye the heart of a true fighter and a keeper of the promises of God. Keep up the fight Dad, and know that when your time comes to be with our Savior your body will be made perfection again and I know with my heart you will hear the heartfelt words of our Savior Jesus Christ, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"
