My Dad, who I love and admire very much was diagnosed several years ago after coming out of a coma. His stage is not extreme but it has been devasting for him. His life after coma and then this hasn’t been the same. He struggles daily accepting to live with PD. PD Runs on his family. His dad and one of his siblings had PD.
He lives in Argentina and I always bring news to him and his doctors based on what I read on your site.
My Dad has the most amazing caring eyes and when he smiles they get very mischievous. He is 84 years old. And has a lot to live for but is struggling with anxiety and panic and this makes PD more difficult for him and my Mom.
We have not found the perfect medication for this yet and he is tired.
He is an engineer and used to make prosthesis with very precise measurements. . He used to paint and do carpentry but with PD all of these became no possible.
I wish for a cure so badly. Life has changed for him and mom 180* degrees and they are struggling to find happiness.
I am in the US and cannot go to visit due to the Covid but I want to wish him a very happy Father’s Day. He is a rock to me and even at a distance thinking on his loving touch and the sound of his voice brings me peace and I feel that no problems exist. Thanks papi. Te quiero mucho!
