When I would tell others that I was the youngest of 4 girls everyone response was your "poor dad". My response back was that's why we always had male dogs.
Dear Poor Dad I like to Thank U,
Thank u for showing me to love animals especially dogs. You loved your dogs Scorpio, Taurus, Snowy, and your granddogs Bailey and Sabret.
Thank u dad for showing me to love music. You were called Elvis Greenhouse for a reason and you could name any tune that was from the 50s or 60s that came your way.
Thank u dad for showing me my love of sports. You love to watch baseball, football, and especially your Wrestling. You loved going to the JCC and spending hours working out at the gym.
Thank u dad for showing me my love of movies. If it was made into a movie you would watch it as long as you were able to get it out from the library for free. I also remember you taking me to the movies. You needed to watch Siskel and Ebert to catch up on your latest movie reviews.
Thank u dad for teaching me to love to travel. I loved all the trips I got to share with you from the road trips down to Florida every year as a family. The trip to Boston on the Freedom Trail despite making us walk until our feet wanted to come off. The trip to Washington D.C. where you did the same but this time from the White House to Congress in August in dripping wet heat. The trips to Virginia, Maryland, Georgia, Maine, California, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachussets, and upstate New York.
Thank u for teaching me to love educational things like going to art museums, natural history museums, historical sites, and the zoo.
Thank u for teaching me to love nature from appreciating the beach to National Parks.
Thank u for not raising me to be selfish but instead to be compassionate and loving person and to appreciate what I have because there are a lot people out there that have far less then me.
Thank u for taking me to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Bronx Zoo, Disney, Universal Studios, Aquariums, Broadway plays, museums, chaperoning my 4th grade class trip, beaches, parks, concerts, pools, etc
Thank you for always being protective of me, loving me, and for just being my dad..I will always miss u and love you to the day I die and get to meet you again.
