I really admire how you are living out James 1:2-4 on a daily basis. Four and a half years ago you accepted your PD diagnosis with grace, grateful that you finally had a diagnosis, and that that diagnosis wasn't a life-threatening disease. You knew that our Father wouldn't allow something you couldn't handle. In the words of James 1:2, you counted your trial as a joy. You couldn't have known then how much that trial would "cost" you every waking moment when your muscles wouldn't operate the way they used to, when normal, everyday tasks would take a lot more concentration and effort to accomplish. I watch you struggle to put on a sock or a shoe, and you are my hero. You don't give up in discouragement, you just get up earlier to allow the time needed to do the job. As verse 3 says, you are building the kind of endurance that verse 4 says results in perfection--when you won't lack anything! I look at you, and I feel like such a wimp! I love you so much, and am right beside you, cheering you on each step of the way as you convert this trial into a triumph. Happy Father's Day!
Love,
Jan
